صفات التفضيل — Superlatives
نستخدم صيغة التفضيل لما نصف شخصًا أو شيئًا بأنه الأعلى في صفة داخل مجموعة، زي: الأطول، الأسرع، أو الأصغر.
١. الصفات القصيرة: the + adjective + est
Ali is the youngest boy in his family.
This is the tallest tree in the garden.
This is the tallest tree in the garden.

٢. انتبه لطريقة الكتابة
لو الصفة بتنتهي بحرف e، نضيف st فقط.
nice → the nicest
في صفات زي big وhot، نضاعف الحرف الأخير قبل إضافة est.
big → the biggest
hot → the hottest
hot → the hottest
لو الصفة بتنتهي بحرف ساكن وبعده y، نحول y إلى i ونضيف est.
funny → the funniest
happy → the happiest
happy → the happiest
٣. صفات أطول وصفات غير منتظمة
beautiful → the most beautiful
interesting → the most interesting
good → the best
bad → the worst
interesting → the most interesting
good → the best
bad → the worst
٤. أخطاء شائعة
✓ نقول the fastest، ولا نقول the most fastest.
✓ مع المقارنة بين اثنين نستخدم صيغة مثل faster than؛ ومع التفضيل داخل مجموعة نستخدم the fastest.
